School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Cincinnati, Ohio
Job Description
Make an impact in education by supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. Two contract opportunities are available for the 2026/2027 academic year: a full-time SLP for the entire year, and a 0.8 FTE position covering a maternity leave from August 19 to September 30. Both roles offer the chance to work in a dynamic school environment and collaborate with dedicated educators and families.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Ohio (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working within a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and work effectively on a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment and therapy services to students ranging from Pre-K through high school
- Develop, implement, and track individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and staff training sessions as required
- Provide education and training to staff and caregivers on strategies that enhance communication and language development
