Gastroenterology - Physician - Syracuse, NY

Our organization is actively seeking Gastroenterology Physicians to join a Hospitalist Model for a new service at our facility in Syracuse, NY.

• Function as a GI Hospitalist, delivering inpatient consultations and performing various procedures.
• Engage with a comprehensive health system that is part of one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic healthcare networks in the country.
• Work within a 7 on-7 off schedule.
• Administration is highly supportive of the growth and vision of the GI department.
• Access to a vast network of primary care and specialty physicians.
• Current on-call duties involve one weekend per month, with affiliated groups covering evenings and weekends.
• The hospital typically sees an inpatient volume of 15-20 patients and 3-7 new consultations each day.
• Opportunities for resident education and clinical research are available.

The practice aims to enhance expertise in the following areas:

• Advanced Endoscopy, including EUS with therapeutics, advanced ERCP skills, EMR/ESD, and enteroscopy.
• Inflammatory bowel disease.
• Hepatology (non-transplant).
• Esophageal and rectal manometry.

• The stated salary represents the initial range of total compensation and does not encompass productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, and other forms of cash compensation relevant to the role. Additionally, providers generally receive a CME allowance and other benefits from their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with state regulations and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.
