This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams at well-established schools near Brooklyn, MI, with assignments in both Adrian and Tecumseh.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field required
- Valid School Psychologist certification for the state
- Comprehensive understanding of special education laws and regulations
- Experience conducting assessments, delivering interventions, and providing counseling
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage caseloads across multiple sites
- Professionalism and adaptability in a school setting
- Previous experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services
- Interpret assessment results and create individualized recommendations for students
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop effective interventions
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and crisis response as needed
- Provide direct counseling services to students individually and in groups
- Offer consultation services to teachers and support staff regarding student learning and behavior
- Document all services, maintain confidential records, and adhere to compliance standards
