Desired Background and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
- Current or pending state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based SLP services
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Passion for working with diverse student populations
Role and Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and carry out individualized therapy plans for students in line with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation as required
- Provide education and support to staff and families on communication strategies
- Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and school events as necessary
- Stay current on best practices and evidence-based approaches in school speech therapy
