Job Description
Step into a rewarding school-based Speech Language Pathologist position designed for passionate professionals seeking to make a positive impact with elementary students. This contract opportunity begins September 4th and runs through June 25th, offering a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (8:15AM-3:15PM), ideal for those who appreciate structured days and a consistent caseload.
You’ll play a vital role in a supportive elementary school environment, working directly on campus and collaborating with staff to ensure student needs are met. Enjoy the opportunity to serve a diverse caseload while performing comprehensive speech and language evaluations, assessments, and therapy.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and valid SLP licensure in New Jersey
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Demonstrated experience as a speech-language pathologist in a school-based setting
- Comfortable navigating district protocols and open to direct communication regarding caseload and responsibilities
- Strong ability to independently manage assessments and student needs
- Reliable transportation for a smooth daily commute
- Must be able to complete required onboarding steps (TB test, physical exam, fingerprints for both agency and district)
- Not accepting Clinical Fellow (CF) or SLPA candidates due to supervision constraints
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to elementary students
- Conduct speech, language, and early literacy assessments and evaluations
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams
- Support the school mission and foster communication skills development
