Qualifications:

  • Valid RIDE certification as a School Psychologist is required
  • Experience providing psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations in a middle or high school environment preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to varying student needs

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for IEP eligibility and programming
  • Provide targeted counseling and interventions to support student mental health, behavior, and academic success
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop effective educational and behavioral plans
  • Facilitate small groups or individual sessions focused on social-emotional learning and resilience
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
  • Consult with families regarding resources, progress, and strategies for ongoing student support
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
