Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity serving K-6th grade students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant educational environment. This onsite position runs from ASAP through June 2027, with a standard workweek of 35-40 hours across five days. While full-time availability is strongly preferred, there is also consideration for part-time candidates. The role will focus on supporting a diverse caseload of up to 55 students, providing essential therapy services that foster growth and communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license in California
- Prior experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Commitment to ethical, evidence-based practices and ongoing professional development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy to K-6th grade students
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and monitor progress
- Work closely with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s academic and social success
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with school and state requirements
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies
