Job Description
Exciting opportunity available for a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist passionate about supporting K-6th grade students! This contract position provides a chance to make a meaningful impact while working onsite with a committed and collaborative educational team. The assignment is slated to begin as soon as possible and continues through June 2027, with the possibility of either full-time (35-40 hours per week) or part-time coverage—preference is given to candidates seeking full-time engagement.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and active state SLP licensure and credentials required for schools
- Previous experience in a school setting highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of up to 55 K-6th grade students
- Commitment to providing services in-person (onsite presence required)
- Enthusiasm for engaging students, staff, and families in the therapy process
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, screenings, and re-evaluations for eligible students
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals and therapy plans
- Deliver direct and consultative SLP services to a diverse K-6 caseload
- Maintain required documentation and progress reports in accordance with district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff collaborations, and parent communications
