As a school-based Occupational Therapist, you’ll gain exposure to a range of workplace practices and collaborate with different educational and healthcare professionals. These experiences enhance your resume and support ongoing professional growth. With 35-40 hours per week, you’ll primarily serve two schools in St. Paul, each with manageable caseloads (fewer than 15 students per school), supporting students’ IEP needs through targeted therapy and team meetings.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current OT license (MN state license or eligibility)
- Experience in school settings preferred
- Skills in home health, teletherapy, and general healthcare OT are a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to student-centered, individualized care
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students with IEPs (2 days/week per school, possible half day for meetings/paperwork)
- Assess and document student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with education teams
- Integrate best practices from both school and healthcare therapy settings
