What You’ll Bring:
- Current and active Illinois Occupational Therapist license
- Proven recent experience working in school-based occupational therapy
- Expertise in addressing the unique needs of high school students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational staff
- Commitment to onsite services for direct student engagement
- Please note: This position is not open to COTAs
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, intervention, and consultation within a high school caseload
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that foster academic participation and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ educational goals
- Document evaluation results, treatment sessions, and student progress in accordance with school district policies
- Provide staff education and recommendations for classroom adaptations
- Help facilitate the transition needs of students preparing for life post-graduation
