Our organization is on the lookout for OB Hospitalists to become part of our expanding, hospital-based team dedicated to a rapidly growing women’s services program in Central and Southern Delaware. With approximately 2,800 deliveries each year (1,800 in Kent and 1,000 in Sussex) and ongoing population growth, this position offers a chance to engage in a high-volume, well-supported setting while having the flexibility to tailor your role to align with your career aspirations.
OB Hospitalist Role | Focus on Inpatient Care- Flexible scheduling options with 24-hour shifts available
- Inpatient-only model—no outpatient clinic duties
- Collaborate with Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) and a highly skilled nursing staff
- Modern, centralized unit layout featuring:
- 10 Labor, Delivery, Recovery rooms (LDRs)
- 4 OB Emergency Department/triage rooms
- 2 dedicated Operating Rooms adjacent to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Efficiently designed pre-operative, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), and postpartum units
- 24/7 in-house support from anesthesia, pediatrics, and neonatal providers
- Staffing aligned with ACOG A-1 perinatal guidelines to ensure safe, high-quality care
- High-volume program with increasing demand
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach with CNMs, OB hospitalists, and specialists
