Step into a dynamic role supporting high school students this fall! A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist is sought for a contract opportunity beginning September 1st. In this rewarding position, you’ll work with approximately 50 students near Orting, WA, providing essential speech and language services within a supportive educational environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid SLP license in Washington State
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Prior experience in a school setting, preferably at the high school level
  • Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver therapeutic interventions designed to address a range of communication and language disorders for high school students
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), collaborating closely with special education teams and classroom staff
  • Conduct thorough speech and language assessments and maintain accurate student records
  • Participate in IEP meetings, sharing progress and recommendations with colleagues and families
  • Serve as a resource to staff, providing strategies to support students’ communication in the classroom
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques to suit changing needs
