Lead Project Manager

We are recruiting for a senior leadership position within an innovative biotechnology business developing next-generation bioprocess technologies.

This is a people-focused leadership role where you will be responsible for leading, developing and motivating a multidisciplinary team while ensuring the successful delivery of complex engineering and R&D programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers, scientists and technical specialists.
\n
• Build a high-performing, collaborative and accountable team culture.
\n
• Manage project delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring objectives, timescales and budgets are achieved.
\n
• Work closely with senior stakeholders, customers and external partners.
\n
• Identify and manage risks, priorities and resources.
\n
• Support the scale-up and commercialisation of innovative technologies.
\n

Requirements

Essential

\n
• Proven experience leading and managing technical or engineering teams.
\n
• Strong track record of people management, coaching and team development.
\n
• Experience delivering complex engineering, manufacturing, R&D or technology-led projects.
\n
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
\n
• Degree qualified in Engineering.
\n

Desirable

\n
• Degree in Bioengineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or a related discipline.
\n
• Experience within biotechnology, life sciences, bioprocessing or advanced manufacturing environments.
\n
• Chartered Engineer status or recognised leadership qualification.
\n
