\nWhat We're Looking For
\nWe're looking for someone who takes ownership, thrives on responsibility and enjoys building something from the ground up. You'll combine a strong electrical background with the commercial and stakeholder management skills to run a live contract from the front, working collaboratively with health & safety, planning, permitting and commercial teams to keep delivery on track.
\nOverview
\nWe're recruiting for a Senior Electrical Project Manager to join an established civils, fibre and telecoms business that is expanding into EV charging infrastructure.
\nThis is a newly created role for someone to take ownership of the day-to-day operational delivery of a long-term contract with a leading EV charge point operator, acting as the main point of contact for the client and leading the project from the front.
\nWorking closely with in-house health & safety, planning, permitting and commercial teams, you'll be fully supported to focus on delivery rather than admin, with real scope to help build and shape a new division as the company's EV charging work grows.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Take overall accountability for the day-to-day operational management of the contract(s) \n
- Act as the primary point of liaison with the client, building and maintaining a strong working relationship \n
- Manage delivery against the agreed programme, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met \n
- Work closely with the in-house health & safety team on construction phase plans and RAMS \n
- Liaise with the planning and permitting teams to keep works progressing smoothly \n
- Work with the commercial team to track project financials and reporting \n
- Provide leadership and support to project management and site colleagues working on the contract \n
- Help identify opportunities to grow the EV charging division as further contracts are secured \n
Essential Requirements
\n- \n
- An electrical background \n
- A minimum of 3 years' relevant project management experience \n
- Strong programme and stakeholder management skills, comfortable liaising directly with clients \n
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, growing business \n
Desirable Experience
\n- \n
- EV charging experience, ideally on-street/public charging infrastructure (e.g. with a CPO, ICP or similar) \n
- 5+ years' relevant project management experience \n
- Progression from a hands-on, on-the-tools background into project management \n
What's on Offer
\n- \n
- Newly secured, long-term contract offering job security \n
- A growing, ambitious business with a motivated team \n
- Full support from in-house health & safety, planning, permitting and commercial teams \n
- Electric company car \n
- Real scope to shape and grow the EV charging division over time \n
