Salary: £55,000 - £60,000

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Mon-Fri

We are seeking an experienced and driven Technical Manager to join our clients food manufacturing operation. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, legality, and compliance across our site.

Working closely with the Site Director, Operations, Engineering, and Commercial teams, you will lead the technical function, champion continuous improvement, and maintain strong relationships with customers, auditors, and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the site's Technical, Quality Assurance, and Hygiene functions.
\n
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, legal, customer, and retailer requirements.
\n
• Maintain and continually improve the site's Food Safety & Quality Management System.
\n
• Lead BRCGS, customer, and regulatory audits, ensuring successful outcomes.
\n
• Manage HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, and food defence programmes.
\n
• Drive a strong food safety and quality culture throughout the business.
\n
• Investigate customer complaints, non-conformances, and root cause analysis, implementing effective corrective actions.

About You:

• Proven experience within the UK food manufacturing industry
\n
• Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, retailer standards, and UK food legislation.
\n
• Experience managing customer and third-party audits.
\n
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
\n
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
\n
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
\n
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline (desirable).
