Production Supervisor

Teamwork Partnership is recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business for an experienced Production Supervisor to join their Packhouse Operations team in Howden, Goole.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on production leader with FMCG or food manufacturing experience who enjoys leading people, driving productivity, and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and customer service. You'll lead a team of approximately 30 operatives across 3 production lines, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Packhouse Manager, you'll be responsible for supervising production operations, improving efficiencies, motivating your team and ensuring customer orders are packed safely, accurately and on time. You'll also deputise for the Packhouse Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and manage a team of 30 production operatives across 3 packing lines.

• Plan labour and resources to maximise production efficiency.
\n
• Drive production KPIs, productivity and continuous improvement.
\n
• Ensure Health & Safety, Food Safety, Hygiene and GMP standards are maintained.
\n
• Monitor product quality and customer specifications.
\n
• Record production data, downtime and quality documentation accurately.
\n
• Liaise with Engineering, Technical and Production teams to resolve issues.
\n
• Deliver training, coaching and performance support to team members.
\n
• Maintain a clean and organised production environment.
\n
• Support the Packhouse Manager and cover during absence.
\n

What We're Looking For

? Previous experience as a Production Supervisor, Team Leader or Shift Supervisor within FMCG, food manufacturing or packaging.

? Experience managing large production teams.

? Strong leadership and communication skills.

? Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.

? Good IT and numerical skills.

? Flexible approach to working hours and weekends.

? Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Working Hours

• Salary:£35,000 per annum
\n
• 5 days per week, including weekends
\n
• You'll work any 5 days out of 7, with 2 days off during the week
\n
• 7:30am start, finishing when daily packing operations are complete
\n
• Flexibility is essential due to the nature of the business and customer demand.
