Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
EA Associates are working with an established and highly regarded Drylining & Ceilings contractor looking to strengthen their commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
\nThis is a strong opportunity for a QS who already knows the drylining market and wants to work on impressive, high-value commercial projects across London, while being based from a well-connected Bishops Stortford office with the flexibility of hybrid working.
\nThe business has built an excellent reputation within the interiors sector, delivering major drylining, suspended ceilings and associated packages for leading contractors across the capital. With a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are now looking for someone who can come in and play a key role commercially across several projects.
The Role\nYoull take commercial responsibility for your projects from procurement through to final account, working closely with the operational and senior commercial teams.
\nTypical responsibilities will include:
\n- \n
- Commercial management of Drylining & Ceilings packages \n
- Subcontractor procurement and management \n
- Applications for payment and valuations \n
- Cost reporting and forecasting \n
- Variations and change management \n
- Managing project cash flow and commercial performance \n
- Attending commercial and project meetings \n
- Final accounts \n
- Building strong relationships with clients and main contractors \n
Previous Drylining and/or Suspended Ceilings experience is essential.
\nYoull ideally already be working as a Quantity Surveyor within a specialist interiors subcontractor and be comfortable commercially managing your own projects.
\nTheyre looking for someone commercially switched-on, confident dealing with clients and capable of working independently without being buried under layers of management.
Why Consider It?\nThis isnt a role where youll be stuck pricing small packages or endlessly firefighting poorly run jobs.
\nYoull be joining an established contractor with good-quality commercial projects, a strong London workload and a genuine pipeline of work, while retaining the benefit of being based outside of London.
