HGV Class 1 Driver

Are you a HGV Class 1 Night Driver looking for ongoing regular work in Tamworth ? Want to work with one of the UK's leading car parts and accessories distributor? Long term opportunities are available with opportunities of full-time contracts after a period of service. Night shifts are available Sunday to Thursday and Monday to Friday with flexibility needed.\n
\nThis role will involve:\n
\n- Car Parts deliveries to stores and dealerships where you will be unloading cages\n
\n- Variety of different runs with different locations across England, Scotland and Wales\n
\n- Tail-lift work, palletised unloading via pump truck with some loose loads.\n
\n- Start times from 19:00hrs to 03:00hrs working on a 46 hour working week.\n
\n- 5 to 6 nights per week\n
\n- Site is based in Dordon Tamworth\n
\nSuccessful HGV Class 1 Drivers will:\n
\n- Have at least 6 to 12 months months Class 1 experience\n
\n- Have no more than 6 points for minor offenses (No DDs, DRs or CDs)\n
\n- Hold valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card\n
\nHGV Class 1 Drivers PAYE rates of pay:\n
\nNight Rates of £19.64 per hour\n
\nGuaranteed 8 hours per shift\n
\nMandatory assessments are involved which will include:\n
\n- Written test (Excellent knowledge of Driving hours, Tacho laws and Highway Code required)\n
\n- Full site and safe systems of work induction\n
\n- Vehicle familiarisation\n
\n- Practical driving assessment\n
