Working closely with the Data Protection Manager, youll support compliance delivery by advising colleagues on the lawful and responsible use of personal data. Using your expertise, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible difference for our customers and colleagues. From consulting on new systems to handling data breaches and complex information requests, this is a hands-on role where your judgement, communication skills and attention to detail really matter.What youll doProvide clear, practical data protection advice across services and projects.Lead on managing data breaches and supporting proportionate risk decisions.Manage governance records and management reporting, including our Records of Processing Activities.Complete complex Information Rights Requests, handling sensitive records with care.Complete and review Data Protection Impact Assessments with confidence.Support teams designing new systems and ways of working involving personal data.Spot compliance gaps and turn them into practical, workable improvements.Why join usYoull work with colleagues who value clear, practical advice and want to do the right thing for customers and the organisation. We cant offer a CoS for this roleYou haveA strong working knowledge of UK data protection law.Work experience handling data subject rights, data breaches, and Data Protection Impact Assessments.Expert knowledge of Subject Access Requests, particularly those raised by colleagues.Confidence explaining complex issues in clear, practical language, to all levels of the organisation.Sound judgement and can challenge constructively when needed.You have a data protection qualificationStronger togetherWe do our best work when were ourselves.
