Together, were building a better future.Following our merger in October 2025, were investing heavily in our homes and infrastructure, and our Asset Surveyors play a key part in this work. Were looking for an experienced Asset Surveyor to join our Asset Management team. This is a mobile role where youll carry out a wide range of property inspections across our housing portfolio, helping us keep homes safe, compliant and well-maintained for our residents. If youre confident diagnosing building defects, managing projects and working directly with residents and contractors, this could be a great next step.About the RoleAs an Asset Surveyor, youll provide professional building surveying and asset management support across our housing stock. Youll carry out disrepair surveys, defect inspections, damp and mould investigations, and support property improvement projects.Youll prepare specifications, schedules of work and technical reports, manage contractors and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to a high standard. Youll also support aids and adaptations, permissions, complaints and resident enquiries.This is a varied role that combines technical expertise, project management and excellent customer service.Key Responsibilities:Carry out property inspections, disrepair surveys and latent defect investigationsDiagnose building defects, damp and mould issues, and recommend remedial actionsPrepare specifications, schedules of work, technical reports and cost estimatesManage projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, compliance and value for moneyPerformance-manage contractors, consultants and specialist suppliersComplete post-inspections and quality assurance checksProvide technical support for aids and adaptations, permissions and resident enquiriesSupport complaint investigations and provide technical responsesMaintain accurate records and documentationIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement within asset managementOut Expectations:Accurate, detailed surveys completed on timeCompliance with statutory and organisational requirementsProjects delivered within budget and programme deadlinesHigh resident satisfaction and stakeholder confidenceStrong contractor performance and value for moneyMust haves:Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business useStrong knowledge of building construction, maintenance practices and defect diagnosisExperience in building surveying, asset management or property maintenance in social housingUnderstanding of housing legislation, Building Regulations and health & safety requirementsExperience managing contractors, consultants and contract administrationExcellent communication, customer service and stakeholder management skillsNice to haves:Qualification in Building Surveying, Construction or Asset ManagementMembership of or working towards RICS, CIOB or similarExperience in stock condition management and investment planningContract procurement experienceBenefitsAt SettleParadigm, we believe in creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
