Salary: £22.53 per hour + On-Call Payments + Extensive BenefitsPermanent | Full Time | DAYS ONLY | 4 On, 4 Off | 6am6pmAre you an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer looking for a well-paid permanent days-only role?We are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join the engineering team at an established feed mill in Ashbourne .This is a genuine DAY SHIFT role working 4 on, 4 off, 6am6pm , giving you regular four-day breaks and avoiding the rotating day/night patterns commonly found in manufacturing and process engineering.This is a feed mill engineering environment not a food production or kill factory .You will work as part of the Mill Engineering team, taking responsibility for maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment, reducing downtime and ensuring the site remains safe, compliant and operational.Your Shift DAYS ONLY4 days on, 4 days off6:00am6:00pm12-hour shiftsRegular four-day breaksAdditional on-call / out-of-hours breakdown cover£22.53 per hourThe Role As Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the reliability and maintenance of the mill.Your responsibilities will include:Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across mill equipmentResponding to electrical and mechanical breakdownsFault finding and repairing machinery to minimise production downtimeEnsuring an effective maintenance plan is in place and followedSupporting the site's breakdown and call-out arrangementsMonitoring maintenance performance and providing regular KPI informationMaintaining pressure systems in line with legal and insurance requirementsSupporting maintenance purchasing and engineering stock controlWorking within agreed maintenance budgetsMaintaining the site permit-to-work systemEnsuring maintenance activity and contractor work complies with health and safety requirementsSupporting environmental compliance across your area of responsibilityProviding out-of-hours breakdown cover when requiredSupporting engineering improvement and plant reliability initiativesWhat We're Looking For You will ideally have:BTEC Level 4 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering , or equivalentA recognised electrical engineering qualification17th Edition or later electrical qualificationA mechanical qualification or strong mechanical maintenance capabilityExperience of planned and reactive maintenance within an industrial environmentStrong electrical fault-finding skillsA practical, hands-on approach to engineeringYou will also be:Organised and methodicalA good communicatorComfortable working as part of a teamFlexible in response to operational demandsAble to prioritise breakdowns and maintenance requirements effectivelyExperience within milling, manufacturing, processing, agriculture, bulk handling, FMCG or another industrial engineering environment would be particularly relevant.We are also keen to hear from engineers with transferable experience gained within the Armed Forces .Why Apply?
