Window and Door Fabricator

Window and Door Fabricator required for a role based in Southend. This is a full-time, hands-on position working Monday to Friday in the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabrication & Assembly\n
  \n
  • Interpret technical drawings, job sheets, and cutting lists.
  \n
  • Measure, cut, and prepare profiles (e.g. aluminium/uPVC/timber/steel) using appropriate machinery.
  \n
  • Install glazing units, beads, and seals as required.
  \n
\n
• Machining & Tools\n
  \n
  • Safely operate workshop machinery such as saws, drills, routers, CNC machines, welders, crimpers, and press tools.
  \n
  • Use hand and power tools for drilling, tapping, deburring, and finishing.
  \n
\n
• Quality & Compliance\n
  \n
  • Inspect components and finished products for defects, correct dimensions, and smooth operation.
  \n
  • Work to agreed tolerances and standards (e.g. company quality procedures, building regulations, industry standards).
  \n
\n
• Health, Safety & Housekeeping\n
  \n
  • Follow all health and safety policies, including correct use of PPE and safe operation of machinery.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

\n
• Previous experience fabricating windows and/or doors (aluminium, uPVC, or timber).
\n
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measuring documents.
\n
• Good measuring skills and attention to detail.
\n
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of workmanship.
\n
• Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills.
\n
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and techniques.
\n
