DSP Firmware Engineer

Senior DSP Firmware Engineer | Hybrid | Stevenage | £75-85k

My client is a fast-growing company developing advanced communications infrastructure for global, highly impactful applications.

They are looking for an experienced DSP firmware engineer to join an experienced & motivated team of software & hardware engineers solving some of the biggest problems in telecoms.

An identical outside IR35 contract is also available

The Role

\n
• Design, simulate and implement DSP algorithms for advanced communications and sensing systems.
\n
• Develop, test and verify FPGA firmware using VHDL and/or Verilog.
\n
• Produce firmware designs from system requirements and functional specifications.
\n
• Support hardware integration, debugging and product development within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
\n

Key Skills

\n
• 5+ years' FPGA/DSP development experience.
\n
• Strong VHDL and/or Verilog design skills.
\n
• FPGA simulation, verification and test experience.
\n
• Experience with formal configuration control.
\n

Desirable

\n
• C/C++ for SoC or embedded processor development.
\n
• Xilinx Versal AI Engines.
\n
• 5G/LTE communications.
\n
• Technical leadership experience.
\n
