As a Lead FEM Engineer , the successful candidate will:Support the development of GFEM and DFEM projects across multiple programmesAnalyse and validate FE and stress data, proposing design solutions optimised for weight, cost, performance, and manufacturing requirementsDeliver static and fatigue ennoblement to Wing design teamsDrive digital solutions to enhance Wing structure ennoblement processesAct as a focal point for FE and digital activities, defining priorities and highlighting risksChampion innovation and continuous improvement across the teamInterface with key stakeholders across transnational teamsWhat We're Looking ForTo excel in this Lead FEM Engineer role, candidates should possess:Degree-level education in Aerospace Engineering5-10 years of professional experience in finite element modellingProven expertise with FEM tools including Hyperworks, Hypermesh, and MSC NastranExperience idealising Wing component structures using Finite Element MethodologyStrong knowledge of airworthiness requirements and Airbus policiesExcellent communication skills and the ability to work collaborativelyFluent English at negotiation level (written and verbal)A proactive, dynamic approach with strong problem-solving abilitiesAdvantageous: FEM Signature delegation, ISAMI competency, and experience with UNIX-based platforms.The DetailsLocation: FiltonPosition Type: Lead FEM Engineer (Contract)Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5 days, flexible between 7am-7pm)On-Site: 80% onsiteProvisional End Date: 01 March 2027 (with probable extension)Security Clearance: BPSS+ (to be completed by company security)Pay Rate: £46.00 per hour (Umbrella) / £34.39 per hour (PAYE)Travel: OccasionalIR35 Status: Off-payroll working rules applyWhy Join This Company?This company values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
