Job Scope
\nWe are looking for Timber Contractor Team Leaders from the UK to work in Ireland To manage timber crews for large scale HV/MV/LV Timber hazard clearance across Ireland and ensure that works are done to client specification and in accordance with SHEQ standards
\nNeeds to Have

Min 3 years experience in a tree surgeon role
\n - \n
At least one year of experience holding an ESB Timber Approval
\n - \n
At least one year of experience with an electrical utility
\n - \n
All relevant H&S accreditation and certification (i.e. chainsaw, polesaw, climbing certificate)
\n - \n
Full Drivers Licence
\n - \n
Experience in managing teams in a fast paced and process driven environment
\n - \n
IT proficiency - MS Office
\n
Needs to Do
\n- \n
- \n
Good knowledge of ESB Network Maps and ESB Timber Company Standards.
\n - \n
Be responsible for the safe completion of the work.
\n - \n
Ensure work is completed in a safely and efficiently using KTL/ESB approved work methods in accordance with client specifications.
\n - \n
Responsible for ensuring that all relevant site documentation and client paperwork is completed accurately and as per client SLA
\n - \n
Ensure that an Electrical Hazard Risk Assessment (EHRA) is completed for each site.
\n - \n
Ensure that All crew members are involved in the completion of the EHRA.
\n - \n
Capture detailed PWPA assessments when not on timber cutting duties.
\n - \n
Ensure that all crew are compliant with instructions regarding use of PPE and equipment
\n - \n
Responsible for site meetings and instructing crews in regards to the daily tasks and highlighting on site hazards
\n - \n
Notify the System Controller each day prior to cutting timber when the networks are Live and also on completion of the work.
\n - \n
Be aware of other work crews who may impact on timber cutting.
\n - \n
Have up to date Network Diagrams.
\n - \n
Be available on site at all times.
\n - \n
Always follow the instructions of the Contractor Supervisor.
\n - \n
Assign a Dedicated Lookout Person for the work when required.
\n - \n
Have an updated Health and Safety Plan available on site at all times and where additional hazards are identified to draw up task specific risk assessment and method statement.
\n - \n
Report any damage to company vehicles, tools or equipment to Plant Manager
\n - \n
Responsible for the safe usage of all plant issued to the crew.
\n - \n
Ensure good public relations are maintained, where by we are required to gain access to private property`s.
\n - \n
Record and report all accidents and near misses/good catches and submit to PM and H&S Manager in a timely fashion
\n - \n
Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the SHEQ systems on all sites
\n - \n
Escalate any breaches of H&S outside of Crew Leaders remit to the Project Manager
\n - \n
Aid in the training of other where required to do so.
\n - \n
Responsible for ensuring the required Quality standards on site are met.
\n - \n
Responsible for the Pre and after photo evidence of all works carried out.
\n - \n
Brief the crew on:

The work plan.
\n - \n
The work to be completed.
\n - \n
The extremities of the worksite.
\n - \n
Adjacent live networks.
\n - \n
Any special work sequencing.
\n
