Job Description
As an Internal Quality Assurer, a typical day might include: \n
- \n
- Sampling learners completed work to ensure assessment decisions are accurate, fair and consistent. \n
- Reviewing assessors' feedback and assessment practices against awarding organisation and regulatory requirements. \n
- Conducting quality assurance checks and maintaining audit trails to demonstrate compliance. \n
- Providing guidance, coaching and developmental feedback to assessors to support continuous improvement. \n
- Holding standardisation meetings to ensure all assessors apply assessment criteria consistently. \n
- Monitoring learner progress and achievement data, identifying trends or areas requiring intervention. \n
- Preparing for External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits and ensuring all required documentation is available and up to date. \n
- Investigating and resolving quality concerns, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented. \n
- Involved in valuable initial assessments in order to make sure the learners are registered on the right course. \n
- Updating quality assurance records, reports and action plans. \n
- Working closely with assessors and curriculum teams to promote high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across programmes. \n

- Supporting the Quality and Compliance Manager in maintaining our quality and achievement tracking and monitoring systems, preparing regular quality reports, highlighting current position and leading on actions identified. \n
- Work with teams to share best practice, develop improvements, and maintain strong outcomes. \n
- \n
- Working as part of the wider quality team to ensure all tasks are covered in line with timescales as required. \n
- \n
- Teaching qualification or relevant equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience. \n
- Recognised industry qualification \n
- Qualified IQA Level 4, or working towards \n
- Qualified Assessor for example Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement. \n
- An organised individual who can plan and monitor a varied workload \n
- Strong people skills which encourages others to work collaboratively \n
- Strong literacy skills with the ability to write clearly and effectively \n
- A flexible approach to work and the ability to meet challenges and adapt to change \n
- Being self-motivated, resilient, with a drive and determination to achieve results \n
- General awareness of health and safety and building management \n
- Are comfortable with, and can engage with people both 1-2-1 and in groups \n
- Strong IT skills, across multiple platforms, with an indepth knowledge of office tools, with an eye for detail that’s second to none. \n
- Strong communicator with excellent customer service experience and skills \n
- Ability to work as a team, under pressure and in a fast-paced environment \n
- Ability to work collaboratively with others, whether in the same team or external support providers \n

- Planning and coordinating is what gets you up every day \n

- Experience in contributing to quality development initiatives. \n
- Experience of developing QIP action plans, and delivering standardisation sessions to support \n
- Experience of organising enhancement activities to support learner achievement \n
