WCA Functional Assessor Norwich Nurse | Physiotherapist | Occupational TherapistLocation: Norwich, Norfolk (hybrid working) Salary: £41,612 per annum + £1,000 Year 1 bonus Job type: Full-time, Permanent, Monday to FridayUse your clinical expertise in a role with no nights, no weekends, and no shifts right here in Norwich.Gaia Recruitment is recruiting NMC-registered nurses and HCPC-registered physiotherapists and occupational therapists in Norwich to become Functional Assessors, carrying out Work Capability Assessments (WCA) on behalf of a leading government health assessment contract.You'll draw on your clinical knowledge every day taking histories, examining, analysing how health conditions affect daily living and work, and writing clear, evidence-based reports while working a structured Monday to Friday week with your evenings and weekends protected.What you'll be doing Conducting functional assessments with people claiming health-related benefits, face-to-face and remotelyProducing clear, concise, evidence-based reports for the Department for Work and PensionsWorking a structured MondayFriday daytime week on a hybrid basis, splitting your time between the Norwich assessment centre and homeWhat you'll get £41,612 per annum significantly above Band 5 and competitive with Band 6, with no unsocial hours needed to earn it£1,000 Year 1 bonusA comprehensive, fully paid training programme no prior assessor experience requiredOngoing CPD, clinical supervision, and NMC revalidation / HCPC standards supportHybrid working, 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, and pensionWho we're looking for Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) with active NMC registration, or Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with active HCPC registrationAt least 12 months' post-registration experience we welcome applications from candidates with a broad base of clinical experience gained with working age adultsStrong written communication and confident IT skillsAble to work full-timeWhy apply through Gaia?
