About the Role / Job Summary:
\n Morgan Hunt is partnering with a national regulatory body to appoint an Interim Chief Analytical Officer. This high-profile leadership position offers the opportunity to shape how the organisation utilises evidence, insights, and analysis to inform regulatory strategy, policy development, and executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:\n
    \n
  • Develop and deliver the long-term analytical strategy for the organisation.
  • \n
  • Advise Executive Directors and senior stakeholders on the use of evidence in regulatory and policy decisions.
  • \n
  • Shape the future operating model, governance, and capability of the analytical function.
  • \n
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation to drive engagement and alignment around data and evidence.
  • \n
  • Champion a culture of evidence-based decision making.
  • \n
  • Lead senior stakeholder discussions on organisational priorities, emerging risks, and strategic opportunities.
  • \n
  • Ensure analytical outputs are aligned to corporate objectives and regulatory outcomes.
  • \n
  • Provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams including economists, researchers, statisticians, and insight specialists.
  • \n
  • Influence strategic planning through the application of robust evidence and foresight.
  • \n
  • Represent the organisation with external stakeholders, regulators, and government bodies where required.
  • \n
Qualifications:\n
    \n
  • Extensive experience leading analytical or research functions.
  • \n
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • \n
  • Experience advising Boards, Executive Committees, or senior government leaders.
  • \n
  • A strong understanding of regulation, public policy, or complex organisational environments.
  • \n
  • Experience designing future operating models and organisational capabilities.
  • \n
  • The ability to translate evidence into strategic business outcomes.
  • \n
