A well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Fareham is looking to add skilled CNC Sliding Head Turner Setter/Operators to its machining team, following continued growth. The company produces high-specification precision components for the aerospace, defence, nuclear, space and oil & gas sectors small-batch, tight-tolerance, high-variety work.

The role:

• Setting and operating CNC sliding head lathes Citizen experience highly desirable
\n
• Working on Fanuc controls to tight tolerances, right first time
\n
• Bar-fed production of precision components across a range of exotic and standard materials
\n
• First-off and in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment
\n
• Tooling, offset adjustment and maintaining quality throughout the run
\n

We're looking for someone with:

\n
• Proven CNC sliding head (Swiss-type) turning experience Citizen highly preferred
\n
• Confidence on Fanuc controls
\n
• Ability to read engineering drawings and hold tight tolerances
\n
• A background in precision, subcontract or high-spec manufacturing
\n
• Time-served or equivalent hands-on experience
\n
