\nA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join a highly regarded construction consultancy based in Belfast.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a driven Cost Manager who is looking to take the next step in their career, working on a diverse portfolio of exciting projects across Northern Ireland and the wider island of Ireland.
\nYou will join a collaborative Cost Management team, working closely with Directors and senior stakeholders while delivering high-quality commercial advice across a range of sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, residential, infrastructure, public sector development, regeneration and mixed-use schemes.
\nThe Role:
\nAs Senior Cost Manager, you will take responsibility for managing projects from a cost and commercial perspective, providing expert advice throughout the project lifecycle.
\nKey responsibilities include:
\n• Preparing cost estimates, cost plans and procurement strategies
\n• Managing tender processes, analysis and reporting
\n• Providing contract administration and commercial management support
\n• Managing valuations, payment assessments, change control and cost reporting
\n• Supporting risk management, value engineering and final account negotiations
\n• Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project teams
\n• Supporting junior team members and contributing to team development
\n• Assisting with business development and maintaining long-term client relationships
\nAbout You:
\n• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
\n• Experienced Cost Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong consultancy experience preferred
\n• Solid pre and post-contract experience
\n• Experience working with construction contracts including JCT, NEC or similar
\n• Strong commercial awareness with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
\n• Confident managing client relationships and working independently
\n• Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
\n• MRICS qualified or working towards chartership (preferred)
