We are recruiting for a Buyer, ideally (not essential) with a background in aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing? Do you enjoy building strong supplier relationships, managing procurement activities, and ensuring materials are delivered on time?\n
\nWe're looking for a proactive and organised Buyer to join a busy procurement team supporting a leading aerospace business. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the supply chain, working with suppliers across a fast-paced engineering environment. Based in Yeovil, this role is hybrid and will be required to be in the office 1 or 2 days per week (potentially 5 days for training for a few weeks). This is a long term temporary role.\n

\nWhat you'll be doing:\n

- Managing the procurement of machining parts and engineering components. \n
- Raising purchase orders against existing Long Term Agreements (LTAs). \n
- Creating purchase orders and processing procurement documentation through SAP. \n
- Sending Requests for Quotation (RFQs) against SAP requisitions. \n
- Issuing quotation requests for AFPs/RFQs and uploading supplier quotations into SAP. \n
- Preparing and issuing end user statements. \n
- Managing invoice clearance and resolving invoice queries. \n
- Supporting Quality Notification (QN) management activities. \n
- Assisting with supplier pre-qualification and qualification processes. \n
- Building positive supplier relationships and resolving complex supplier queries. \n
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities are completed efficiently and on time. \n

- Previous experience in a Buyer, Procurement or Purchasing role. \n
- Experience working within aerospace, engineering or manufacturing would be highly advantageous. \n
- Good understanding of procurement processes and supplier management. \n
- Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system. \n
- Experience of using Excel and other MS Office applications \n
- Strong communication and negotiation skills. \n
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload. \n
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities. \n
- High attention to detail and accuracy \n
