About the Company
\nFindCore are thrilled to be assisting a leading multidisciplinary construction consultancy with the recruitment of a Quantity Surveyor. Extremely exciting time to join a large company that has recently partnered with another major company.
\nAbout the Role
\nThere are 3 roles available - Experienced QS or Senior QS or Assistant Director QS. Permanent position. This role will be based in Glasgow.
\nResponsibilities
\n- \n
- Deliver pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across a varied project portfolio. \n
- Prepare cost plans, estimates, budgets and feasibility studies. \n
- Manage procurement exercises, tender documentation and tender analysis. \n
- Produce cost reports, valuations and payment recommendations. \n
- Maintain effective financial control throughout each project. \n
- Lead value engineering, risk management and change-control processes. \n
- Negotiate and agree final accounts. \n
- Manage projects from initial feasibility through to completion. \n
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors. \n
- Mentor junior surveyors and support their professional development. \n
- Contribute to business development and help secure new opportunities. \n
Qualifications
\n- \n
- MRICS Chartered status is ideal \n
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. \n
- Approximately five years’ post-qualification experience within a consultancy. \n
Required Skills
\n- \n
- Strong pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying experience. \n
- Good working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts. \n
- Experience delivering projects across a range of sectors. \n
- Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder-management skills. \n
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability. \n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. \n
- Proactive, collaborative and organised approach. \n
- Full UK driving licence. \n
Preferred Skills
\n- \n
- Public-sector project experience would be advantageous but is not essential. \n
