- Ischemic/Hemorrhagic Strokes \n
- Status Epilepticus \n
- Encephalitis \n
- Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) \n
- Intracranial Hemorrhage \n
- Stroke \n
- \n
- Minor Neurological Disorders \n
\n Primary skills utilized/learned:
\n- \n
- Detailed Neurological assessments \n
- ICP Monitoring \n
- Medication titration \n
- Managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, body temperature, & CRRT \n
- Neurological patient care; NIHSS Certification for Stroke care \n
- Telemetry monitoring \n
- Time management, critical thinking, delegating \n
- Seizure disorder monitoring/ care \n
\n Personnel RN will work with:
\n- \n
- LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, PT, OT, Dietary \n
\n Number of beds on unit:

\n Required Qualifications:
\n -Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
\n -Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
\n -Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
\n Preferred Qualifications :
\n -BSN
\n -Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association \n
