Priory Hospital Cheadle has an opportunity for a GMC registered Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team.
\nPriory Hospital Cheadle Royal, Stockport is an inpatient mental health service for young people and adults. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes along Wilmslow Road and Cheadle Hulme and East Didsbury railway stations approximately 1–2 miles from the service.
What you'll be doing\nIn this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.

- Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu. Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983). \n
- Supervising the process of referral and admission including contributing to preadmission assessments of young people with other team members. \n
- Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation and treatment of adults. \n

What you'll bring to the role\nEssential for the role - Psychiatry
\nApplicants must hold MRCPsych (or an equivalent qualification), a CCT (or equivalent) and be included on the GMC Specialist Register, along with Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status. They must demonstrate clinical knowledge, skills, and experience relevant to the speciality, the ability to work within and lead a team, and a commitment to shared leadership, collaborative working, and service improvement. Candidates should also have evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
