Role Description The Lighting Designer / Junior Lighting Designer will contribute to the design and delivery of architectural lighting schemes for commercial, residential, and public spaces. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing lighting concepts, producing drawings and layouts, selecting fixtures, and preparing presentations and project documentation. The role involves coordinating with internal team members and external partners, assisting with lighting calculations, and supporting site visits and mock-ups as needed. This is a full-time hybrid role based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with a mix of office-based collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility. The position is suited to individuals who are detail-focused, eager to learn, and comfortable working across multiple projects and deadlines.\n
Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Lighting Design and Architectural Lighting, with the ability to translate design intent into coherent lighting schemes.

  • Experience with Lighting Control systems and a solid understanding of general Lighting principles and technologies.

  • Awareness of Interior Design considerations and how lighting supports spatial, material, and aesthetic goals.
  • \n
  • Relevant design or engineering qualification (e.g., architecture, interior design, lighting design, electrical engineering) or equivalent practical experience.

  • Ability to use design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar, plus lighting calculation software (e.g., Dialux, Relux) is beneficial.

  • Strong visual communication skills, including preparation of drawings, diagrams, and presentation materials.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
