Job Description
Senior Salmon are seeking Sewing Machinists for a well known client in Stavely (S43), starting as soon as possible. We are accepting any experience withing sewing/textiles!\n
\nThe Role of a Sewing Machine Operator is to assist in the manufacture of sewn goods, this includes marking, cutting and sewing of various fabrics to manufacture a wide variety of sewn goods.\n
\nMajor Areas of Responsibility:\n
\n- To operate lockstitch and overlock sewing machines\n
\n- To operate manual and mechanical cutting, eyeleting and similar equipment\n
\n- To assist in the manufacture of a wide range of fabrics\n
\n- To undertake preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment\n
\n- To assist in the organisation of materials for manufature\n
\n- Packaging of goods for despatch\n
\n- To ensure work area and environment is kept clean, tidy and organised.\n
\n- To adhere to good practice in relation to health & safety and working methods.\n
\n- Any other tasks reasonably required by line manager\n
\n- To make basic pattern\n
\nWork Environment:\n
\nYou will work within the production facilities, responsible for contributing to the general tidiness and upkeep for the working areas to maintain a safe and pleasant working environment.\n
\nThis is a full time role, 42.5 hour per week, 8am - 5pm.\n
