Hydraulic Engineer Location: Leyland Salary: £18.00 - £21.00 per hour (DOE) Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday | Day Shift | Circa 8:00am Starts Overtime: Paid at Time & HalfWe're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing commercial vehicle engineering business based in Leyland . Our client is a recognised specialist in the maintenance, servicing and repair of municipal and refuse collection vehicles, providing high-quality engineering solutions to customers across the UK.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hydraulic Engineer to join a professional workshop, offering £18.00 - £21.00 per hour, a Monday to Friday day shift.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair hydraulic faults on refuse collection vehicles.Service and replace hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses and associated components.Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.Complete mechanical repairs where required.Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and in line with health and safety procedures.Maintain accurate service and repair documentation.What We're Looking ForProven experience working with hydraulic systems.Experience working on refuse vehicles, HGVs, municipal vehicles, plant machinery or other heavy equipment is advantageous.Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.Good mechanical engineering knowledge.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.Full UK Driving Licence preferred.What's On Offer£18.00 - £21.00 per hour, depending on experience.Monday to Friday working pattern.8:00am starts.Overtime paid at time and a half .30-minute unpaid lunch break.Two paid 15-minute breaks each day.Permanent, full-time position.Stable workload with long-term career opportunities.Modern workshop with a supportive engineering team.If you are interested, please apply today.TPBN1_UKTJ
