Position: HGV 1 Night Trunk Driver

Location: Basildon

Hours: Adhoc Monday to Friday

Salary: £25.84 per hour

About Us

At DriverForce UK, we specialise in providing reliable driving and logistics professionals to reputable clients across the UK. We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class Driver to join our client in Basildon on an ongoing temporary basis, offering consistent work, competitive pay, and a supportive working environment.

This position is temporary, for holiday, sickness and increase in workload. Start times vary between 18:00 and 20:00.

Duties but not inclusive to:

Responsible for undertaking trunk runs to their hub and back

Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections, completing required paperwork and reporting any defects

Complying with all relevant driving rules and regulations including WTD and tachograph rules

About You

We're looking for a reliable and safety-conscious driver with the right experience and a strong work ethic.

• Valid HGV 1 licence, held for 2 years plus
\n
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence
\n
• Driver CPC qualified or Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC) and Digi Tacho Card
\n
• Good geographic knowledge
\n
• A positive, can-do attitude
\n
• Excellent communication skills at all levels towards both customers and colleagues
\n
• Previous multi drop experience is required
\n
