Founded in 1987 by a group of passionate foster parents, we are proud to be the UK's first independent foster care agency. With over 30 years of experience, we have always placed the child at the center of our mission, providing a comprehensive range of support services. Our Integrated Service Programme (ISP) is designed to ensure that children and foster parents have access to a network of professionals, including social workers, fostering advisors, teachers, and therapists, all committed to a therapeutic approach to fostering.

Your Role\n

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting foster parents and ensuring high standards of care. This is a full-time position based in Enfield, offering a salary of up to £39,500 per annum plus a £3,000 car allowance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide direct support to foster parents, managing a realistic caseload for effective supervision.
\n
• Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring practice and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
\n
• Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to facilitate participation in assessments, planning, and decision-making.
\n
• Maintain high standards through quality assurance and training for prospective and current foster parents.
\n

What We’re Looking For\n

We seek a qualified and experienced Social Worker or Senior Social Worker who is:

• Enthusiastic and committed to the role of foster parents and their invaluable skills.
\n
• Experienced in working collaboratively with foster parents and within a multi-disciplinary environment.
\n
• Knowledgeable about relevant legislation in children's services.
\n
• A strong report writer, able to meet strict deadlines.
\n
• Holds a Social Care England recognized qualification in Social Work or equivalent.
\n
• Possesses a full driving license and has unrestricted access to a car.
\n

Working Conditions\n

This position requires a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. An enhanced DBS check will be required, with the cost covered by ISP.
