Job Description
We're looking for a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our team based in Towcester, Northamptonshire.
\nLocation: Towcester, Northamptonshire
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £28,000 to £29,800 per annum depending on experience and qualifications

\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join our highways maintenance team, where you'll play a vital role in delivering essential carriageway, footway and drainage works across the local area. As part of a close-knit team, you'll contribute to improving and maintaining the infrastructure that keeps our communities connected and safe.
\nWhat will you be responsible for?
\nAs a Highways Operative, you'll be working within the maintenance team, supporting them in delivering high-quality highway repairs and improvements. Your day to day will include:

- Operating light plant equipment including compressors, rollers, disc cutters and vibrating plates, whilst maintaining their daily upkeep \n
- Assisting skilled team members with kerbing, drainage, paving, bricklaying and surfacing works \n
- Excavating materials using hand and powered tools safely and efficiently \n
- General site duties including sweeping, cleaning, litter picking and handling materials and equipment \n
- Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive working environment for all team members \n

- You have previous experience working in highway maintenance or a similar field \n
- You hold relevant certificates and qualifications for this type of work \n
- You're collaborative and enjoy working closely with others to achieve shared goals \n
- You're reliable, trusted and committed to delivering work safely and to a high standard \n
- You have a valid driving license \n
