We believe in creating a nurturing and respectful environment for young individuals aged 11-18, and we need a passionate Deputy Manager to help us make this vision a reality!
Your Role\nAs our Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Registered Manager with the daily operations of our service. Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting the Registered Manager and stepping in when needed to oversee the home’s daily activities. \n
- Supervising, guiding, and supporting staff to ensure effective communication and high standards of practice. \n
- Managing key operational areas such as care quality, recruitment, training, and basic financial duties. \n
- Assessing young people's needs and contributing to personalized care plans that address their cultural, social, and emotional needs. \n
- Promoting positive behavior, independence, and active participation in decision-making. \n
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding requirements and relevant legislation. \n
- Maintaining accurate records, including care plans and risk assessments. \n
- Building strong relationships with young people, families, staff, and external professionals. \n
- Supporting staffing needs, including recruitment and training. \n
- Assisting with admissions to ensure a smooth transition for each young person. \n
- Attending meetings to share key information within the team and partner agencies. \n
We are looking for candidates who possess:

- 2+ years of residential childcare experience. \n
- A Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent. \n
- Child protection experience. \n
- Strong leadership and staff supervision skills. \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. \n
- Experience in managing budgets and staff rotas. \n
- Project management skills and a proactive, solution-focused attitude. \n
- A commitment to ongoing personal development. \n
