Basic Salary: Up to £37,500 plus SEN Allowance: £2,679

About Easthorpe School\n

At Easthorpe School, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for children and young people in the East Midlands. Since opening our doors in November 2022, we have been expanding our team to accommodate the growing number of pupils in our Lower School provision for ages 7-13.

Our class sizes are intentionally small, with no more than seven pupils per class, supported by a qualified teacher and up to two teaching assistants. We specialize in supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), including diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and more.

\n

Role Responsibilities\n

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, tailored to meet the complex SEMH needs of all pupils.
\n
• Support the class team in creating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
\n
• Monitor and report on pupils' progress, collaborating with staff to ensure their needs are met.
\n
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.
\n
• Build strong relationships with pupils, fostering interaction and positive learning outcomes.
\n
• Assist the Exams Officer with the planning and administration of internal and external examinations.
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
\n
• Possess a strong educational background to degree level.
\n
• Have previous successful SEND teaching experience.
\n
• Understand the examination process thoroughly.
\n
• Experience working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting.
\n
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques.
\n
• Be committed to professional development and eager to learn.
\n
