This is a fantastic opportunity to support students in KS2 and KS3, working 29.17 hours per week with a salary of up to £15,423.23 per annum. The position is fixed-term and part-time, starting in September.

About the Role\nAs a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the educational and social development of a Year 6 and a Year 7 pupil with Special Educational Needs. Working under the guidance of the SENDCo and teaching staff, your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting the Class Teacher in supporting the pupil on a one-to-one or small group basis. \n
- Preparing and maintaining differentiated resources to meet the pupil's Educational Care Health Plan. \n
- Delivering targeted support and implementing IEPs, EHCPs, and intervention programs. \n
- Promoting positive behavior, independence, wellbeing, and inclusion. \n
- Providing pastoral support and contributing to safeguarding and child protection. \n
- Supervising pupils during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and other non-classroom activities. \n
- Supporting school events, educational visits, and extracurricular activities. \n
- Carrying out administrative duties and participating in meetings and professional development. \n
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

- Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting. \n
- Experience with children with SEND, particularly ASC or SEMH. \n
- Enthusiasm for supporting children with Special Educational Needs. \n
- GCSEs in Maths and English, grade C or above. \n
- Level 3 Qualification in Learning Support or Childcare is desirable. \n
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with children. \n
- Experience in delivering specific support programs to individuals or small groups. \n
- Basic computer literacy skills. \n
- A flexible approach to teamwork. \n
