Quantity Surveyor What You Will Do As a Quantity Surveyor at Johnson Controls, you will take ownership of the commercial delivery of projects from contract award through to final account, playing a pivotal role in driving profitability and protecting the business from risk. Working closely with Sales and Projects teams, you will provide expert commercial and contractual guidance across a diverse portfolio of projects. Reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will have accountability for key projects within your region, making a direct impact on business performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term growth. - Manage the full commercial lifecycle of projects from award through to completion \n
- Administer contracts in line with company policies and procedures \n
- Lead variation management, ensuring timely agreement and maximisation of project value \n
- Prepare, submit and agree final accounts to achieve positive financial outcomes \n
- Identify, develop and substantiate claims and entitlement opportunities \n
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts and financial performance \n
- Escalate commercial risks and implement corrective actions where required \n
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve commercial challenges \n
- Drive continuous improvement and best practice across commercial processes \n

- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to step up \n
- Proven track record working on projects ranging from £50k to £10m \n
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to manage risk effectively \n
- Experience within Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) environments \n
- Ability to lead and manage complex commercial projects \n
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills \n
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly \n
- Strong problem-solving capability and ability to make independent decisions \n

- Experience across disciplines such as HVAC&R, Security, Fire Detection/Suppression, or BMS/Controls \n
- RICS accreditation or working towards it \n
