Facilities TechnicianLocation: Youlbury, Oxford (OX1 5HD) – on siteContract: Permanent | 35 hours per weekSalary: £34,359 per annum (including Market Supplement), Band D, Level 3About the roleWe're looking for a Facilities Technician to help keep our buildings safe, welcoming and running smoothly.You'll carry out a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, complete compliance checks, spot and fix issues before they become bigger problems, and support projects across our sites.With plenty of variety, no two days are the same, and you'll have the trust to manage your own workload while making a real difference every day.What you'll be doing as our Facilities TechnicianDeliver planned and reactive maintenance across our buildings and estate.Inspect sites, diagnose faults, and carry out compliance and preventative maintenance.Manage your own workload, materials, and maintenance records.Follow health and safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents.Work with contractors, volunteers, and colleagues to deliver maintenance projects.Maintain tools and equipment while supporting the wider Facilities team.What we're looking for in our Facilities Technician:Experience in facilities, maintenance, or a multi-trade roleComfortable doing hands-on practical workAble to manage your own workloadGood understanding of health and safetyPhysically able to do manual work (including lifting up to 25kg)Completed a recognized City & Guilds or NVQ Diploma (or equivalent) in a trade such as carpentry, plumbing, electricalFull UK driving licenceBenefits:We are an award-winning Charity of the Year (Charity Times Awards 2022) with over 400 employees across multiple locations across the country.28 days holiday and going up to 32 days after 2 years' service plus additional days at ChristmasFlexible working hoursWork in a way that suits you, your role and your departmentDouble matching pension up to 10% of gross salaryFor a full list of our benefits, click here .Closing date for applications: 23:59 pm Sunday 13th September 2026Interviews will be held on Wednesday 23rd September 2026 in person at Youlbury.Strictly no agencies.The Scouts is an equal opportunities employer and we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute.
