Accounts Payable Specialist (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)

Location: Paramus, New Jersey

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team in a fully on-site role. This position offers the opportunity to transition to a permanent role with competitive compensation and a stable schedule.

Schedule & Compensation
  • 100% on-site, Monday-Friday
  • Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Salary upon permanent conversion: $60,000 - $65,000
Position Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices while maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage a steady volume of transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process approximately 400 invoices per month
  • Review invoices for accuracy and proper approvals
  • Enter invoice data into the accounting system
  • Reconcile accounts payable records to prevent duplicate or missing payments
  • Manage payment schedules in accordance with vendor terms
  • Issue payments via checks, credit cards, and bank transfers
  • Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Communicate directly with vendors to address inquiries
  • Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and efficiency
Qualifications
  • Full-cycle Accounts Payable experience required
  • Experience handling high-volume invoice processing
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with accounting systems (experience with Sage Intacct is a plus, but not required)
  • Strong communication skills for vendor interaction
Additional Details
  • Background check, credit check, and drug screening required
