Join Our Team as an ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technician

We are seeking skilled ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Technicians to become part of our dedicated team in Batesville, AR. This role involves conducting x-ray examinations while utilizing your understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as performing various Medical Assistant tasks.

Job Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting x-ray tests, including managing body mechanics and patient movement.
  • Operating diagnostic equipment and developing films.
  • Preparing examination rooms with the necessary tools and supplies.
  • Assisting with Medical Assistant duties as required.
Key Responsibilities

The following responsibilities outline the expectations for this position, though additional tasks may be assigned:

  • Warmly greet patients upon their arrival in waiting areas, exam rooms, and x-ray facilities.
  • Maintain clear communication with patients regarding wait times and guide them through the treatment process.
  • Address patient concerns and seek assistance in emergency situations.
  • Conduct follow-up calls promptly and with urgency.
  • Support front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out processes when needed.
  • Accurately record patient vital signs, weight, and relevant medical history, including medications and allergies.
  • Assist in transferring patients as necessary.
  • Support procedures under the direct supervision of the provider.
  • Adhere to documentation protocols and complete all necessary paperwork related to patient visits.
  • Perform radiology procedures in a timely manner for evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards in examinations.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while following established safety and care protocols, including radiation protection techniques.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any issues to the Manager or on-duty provider.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development in diagnostic imaging through external educational resources.
  • Maintain current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment.
Work Schedule

Full-time employees will work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, which includes 12-hour shifts on weekdays and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) staff will be scheduled as needed.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS Certification.
  • AR State X-Ray License.
  • ARRT Certification is preferred.
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant is advantageous.
