Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon Microsurgeon, you will join our dynamic healthcare team at the CommonSpirit Cancer Center at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, CO, specializing in complex breast reconstruction and microsurgical reconstruction to make a life-changing impact on our patients health and well-being.

Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, performing complex surgical procedures, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of oncologists, surgeons, and specialists to support the holistic recovery of our patients.

\n

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified or board-eligible Plastic Surgeon, possessing advanced fellowship training in microsurgery and a passion for complex reconstruction within a cancer center setting. You will demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collaborative, high-volume environment dedicated to clinical excellence.

  • Perform advanced breast reconstruction, including DIEP flap and implant-based procedures.
  • \n
  • Execute complex microsurgical reconstructions and limb salvage surgeries.
  • \n
  • Provide high-quality aesthetic surgery services.
  • \n
  • Collaborate within a comprehensive multidisciplinary cancer care team (oncology, breast surgery, radiation oncology, orthopedics, neurosurgery).
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and quality standards.
  • \n
  • Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with the latest surgical techniques and research.
  • \n
  • Participate in administrative and quality improvement initiatives to support the growth of the reconstructive practice.

Job Requirements\n

Required

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Completed residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
  • \n
  • Completed fellowship training in microsurgery.
  • \n
  • Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
  • \n
  • Active or eligible medical license in the state of Colorado.
  • \n
  • Strong clinical interest in breast and complex microsurgical reconstruction.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • \n
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, high-volume environment.
  • \n
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
  • \n
  • Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

  • Ability and interest to perform lymphedema surgery, head and neck reconstruction, or hand surgery.
