Position Overview

Role: Physician Assistant, Orthopedics

Note: This position may involve providing coverage across various orthopedic subspecialties.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive care to patients within subspecialty teams, as well as those with orthopedic trauma and fractures.
  • Manage both new and returning patients, including the interpretation of diagnostic imaging, conducting pre-operative and post-operative appointments, and coordinating overall patient care.
  • Address acute and chronic orthopedic issues for patients ranging from infants to young adults.
  • Provide clinic coverage at multiple locations, including Boston, Waltham, Weymouth, Peabody, and Needham.
  • Work a schedule of four 10-hour shifts each week, which includes dedicated administrative time.
QualificationsEducation
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Experience
  • Prior experience as a Physician Assistant in pediatrics, orthopedics, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • A strong enthusiasm for working in a pediatric orthopedic environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with orthopedic surgeons, nursing staff, Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs), and ambulatory personnel is crucial.
  • Strong analytical skills to tackle complex problems using clinical, scientific, or technical principles, along with extensive cross-functional knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills to navigate conflicting viewpoints and facilitate equitable solutions, along with proficient writing abilities.
Licensure and Certifications
  • A valid license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Incentives and Compensation

Sign-On Bonus: A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for this position.
