Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in academic medicine with a focus on teaching and research.
  • Provide care through a busy consultation service at our medical center and outpatient clinics.
  • Deliver both outpatient and inpatient services at affiliated medical facilities.
  • Participate in shared inpatient services among physicians, with plans to reduce call requirements as the division expands.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team, including nurse practitioners and administrative staff for prior authorization and documentation.

  • Interest in engaging with fellows, residents, and students on a weekly basis.
Working Conditions

The Rheumatology Division currently consists of 5.5 faculty members, with plans to expand to 9 full-time positions. We prioritize faculty development and physician wellness, offering various programs such as:

Benefits and Growth Opportunities

Our organization provides a two-year fellowship program, currently hosting three fellows annually. Faculty members are encouraged to engage in clinical trials and various research initiatives. The division includes seven specialized centers, offering a rich pool of patients for research and expertise development. We also manage a Fracture Liaison Service and infusion centers at our partner hospitals, equipped with ultrasound machines for various diagnostic procedures.

Our faculty medical group is affiliated with a leading medical center and children's hospital, dedicated to delivering comprehensive care at a high standard of clinical excellence. Serving as the largest tertiary referral center in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, we cater to a population nearing 4 million and are the only Level I Trauma Center in a four-county area.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting base salary for this position ranges from $300,000 to $330,000, adjusted based on experience and faculty rank. This figure does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives, which will be discussed during the recruitment process.
